Emma Chen

Co-Vice President

My name is Emma Chen, and I am a freshman in the Business of Cinematic Arts program from Cupertino, California. In high school, I was involved in online journalism, speech and debate, student leadership, and comparative literature research. I also completed a Title IX consulting internship, where I created marketing campaigns, conducted research, and supported project management. At USC, I am involved in cultural organizations (CASA and TAO), and I serve as the Administrative Commissioner for the Business of Cinematic Arts class of 2027. I love all forms of entertainment, such as film, television, music, games, and literature. In my spare time, I write film reviews, play the piano, and rewatch Succession. I've also enjoyed exploring Los Angeles through its various museums, restaurants, and more. I am interested in learning about how AI can be utilized ethically and sustainably in entertainment. I look forward to seeing how AI can be used effectively alongside creators. I believe that innovation regarding AI cannot just concern how we can implement it, but also create an awareness of when it is not beneficial. I believe interactions between human creators and generative AI will spark new conversations in the entertainment industry and the future of content creation.

FUN FACT: I survived a car crash on the Golden Gate Bridge.
